WAPPNA Annual Meeting July 5th 2024

The annual WAPPNA meeting was held in collaboration with the APPNA Merit. This partnership took place for the first time as both the themes were in alignment and our speakers had similar topics to discuss. Dr Humeraa Qamar spoke about Women Empowerment in Healthcare. Dr Farha Abbasi spoke on Understanding Family Dynamics. The audience was very appreciative of the discussion that followed. But attendance could be better if parallel events were not taking place. This is something which needs to be addressed at the central APPNA LEVEL. The keynote speaker was Dr Fazal Mehmood who is Executive Director of the Maxwell Leadership team. His topic of discussion was Laws of Leadership. Dr Naheed Chaudhry welcomed everybody and opened the meeting. She is the WAPPNA President for 2024. Dr Sadiq Naveed who is the Chair of the APPNA Merit presented plaques to the speakers and moderators.
There is an overwhelming need for women empowerment and the pathway towards gaining insight and awareness.
Dr Shaheen Mian, Past President of WAPPNA thanked the audience and Dr Sadiq Naveed for sharing the platform with WAPPNA. We look forward to future collaborations with the APPNA Merit.
